Larissa's is deliciously sharp at first with a strong heat when eaten raw, but it mellows to a milder and somewhat sweet finish. The flavor holds up well when marinading heavier meats and cooking stews, while offering a big, beautiful, bold garlic flavor when used raw in your favorite red sauces and salsas.

Larissa's bulbs are medium sized and the outer bulb wrappers have beautiful distinct purple striping. Each bulb contains 5–7 medium-sized cloves. The thick clove skins are easy to peel, and the white, creamy cloves are easy to crush, mince and chop. Larissa's garlic can keep for up 7–8 months when stored at room temperature in a dry, dark place that has plenty of air circulation.

We grow all of our garlic from naturally grown or organic seed, and we never use chemicals at any time during our planting, growing, harvesting or curing processes. The Quantity Guidelines listed above are ESTIMATES to help you decide how much of this garlic variety to order by weight so you can plan for your cooking needs.

Note: Garlic is an agricultural crop that is subject to loss due to conditions beyond our control. This can even occur in the curing stage. We check each bulb before shipping them to you, and if there are any quality issues with our stock, we may need to substitute the variety you want with another, similar variety. We rarely need to do this, but if it does become necessary, we will contact you prior to shipping to discuss your options.
