We describe this variety as "Great Bulbs of Fire" because it packs a real punch with heat that lingers. This is our hottest garlic so far with a spicy-tasting heat level similar to that of Sriracha! The cloves peel fairly easily, have a harder texture, and their smell can even be potent enough to make your eyes water. This is a great garlic variety to use raw in spicy dips, salsas, chutneys, and sauces like tzatziki.

When cooked, quite a bit of the heat sticks around and it doesn't sweeten or mellow too much like some of our milder varieties. So reach for Trailblazer while making your chili or Italian dishes when you want people to really know they're eating garlic!

Trailblazer bulbs are medium-small to medium sized, the outer wrappers are creamy and the inner wrappers have beautiful, bright purple splotches. Each bulb contains 5–7 medium-sized cloves. Trailblazer garlic can keep for up 7–8 months when stored at room temperature in a dry, dark place that has plenty of air circulation.

We grow all of our garlic from naturally grown or organic seed, and we never use chemicals at any time during our planting, growing, harvesting or curing processes. The Quantity Guidelines listed above are ESTIMATES to help you decide how much of this garlic variety to order by weight so you can plan for your cooking needs.

Note: Garlic is an agricultural crop that is subject to loss due to conditions beyond our control. This can even occur in the curing stage. We check each bulb before shipping them to you, and if there are any quality issues with our stock, we may need to substitute the variety you want with another, similar variety. We rarely need to do this, but if it does become necessary, we will contact you prior to shipping to discuss your options.
